What does Main Street Operator do?
Main Street Operator helps $3M+ operators running messy jobs put AI to work: home services, subcontractors, food service, and other field-based businesses where the work happens off a screen. Three things: AI Workshops & Training so your team learns it, Custom AI Builds (including a six-month AI Operating Partner engagement) so we build it for you, and our own products, Jefe and a growing suite of frontier AI tools, so you can use what we build.
What do you mean by "messy jobs"?
A messy job is work that happens off a screen: crews on job sites, trucks on routes, kitchens at dinner rush, customers walking in the door. Home services, subcontractors, and food service are the clearest examples. Software built for people at desks breaks in these businesses, so we build for the field first.
Do you work with my industry?
Yes, if your business runs on people in the field. We have shipped work for drywall contractors, general contractors, stove and hearth companies, and restaurant groups. We are not the right fit for software companies, agencies, or businesses that run entirely on screens. Plenty of consultants serve those well.
Is my business too small?

Do you work nationally or just around Tahoe and Reno?
Nationally. We are based in the Tahoe and Reno area and work with operators across the United States. Workshops run in person at your shop or job site, or remotely, depending on what your team needs. Custom builds run remotely, with on-site time when the work calls for it.

What is a Custom AI Build?
A system we build on the tools you already pay for, scoped to one workflow at a time. Three sizes: fix one thing, build the operating system, or keep building. By operating system we mean the connected set of tools and routines that runs the business when you are not in the room.
What is an AI operating partner?
Main Street Operator's AI Operating Partner is a six-month engagement where an embedded operations partner works inside your business to find, build, and maintain AI and automation on the workflows that cost you the most time. Our build team handles the engineering. It suits owner-led businesses doing $3M+ in revenue.
How is an AI operating partner different from an AI consultant?
A consultant hands you recommendations. A one-time build hands you one system. An operating partner stays: we build the first workflow, run it with your crew, fix what breaks, and pick the next job each month.
What happens during a six-month AI operating partner engagement?
Your embedded operations partner runs weekly or biweekly working sessions with your team and leads adoption. Our build team handles the engineering. Once a month, we hold a leadership review with you to check progress, clear blockers, and choose what gets built next.
How long until the first build goes live?
In an AI Operating Partner engagement, the first build goes live between weeks four and six. Custom AI Builds usually take longer, because we start inside your workflows, your stack, and your numbers to scope the right job before we build it. The 30-minute scope call sets your timeline. We stay until it runs without us.
What does an AI operating partner or custom AI build cost?
Every engagement is scoped before any work begins. Custom AI Builds are priced as a fixed scope at a fixed price, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. Operating Partner work is priced monthly once scoped. The 30-minute scope call is where that number comes from. Workshops are priced by length and by how many teams are in the room.
What is the first step, and how do I book a call?
Book the 15-minute call if you are curious and want a read on where AI fits. Book the 30-minute scope call if you already know the job. Both are booked online with Main Street Operator, and the scope call is where your price and timeline come from.
The doubts
Is this actually AI, or automation?
Most of what we build is plain automation: reminders, routing, scheduling, data moving between tools without a person retyping it. AI comes in where judgment is needed, like reading a message and deciding what it means. We say which is which, because calling everything AI is how operators pay for the wrong thing.
Will my team actually use it?
Your people are the strategy, so we build with them, on their real work, from the first week. If a crew will not use something, that is the design failing, and we change the design. Adoption is checked before we leave, not promised.
Will AI replace people on my team?
No. The work we automate is the part your people already hate: reminders, retyping, chasing. The parts that need judgment, the recovery call, the read on a tricky customer, stay with people. Operators use the hours back to grow, not to cut.
Who owns what you build?
You do. Everything we build runs in your accounts, on tools you pay for. We teach your team to run it, then hand it off with the documentation and the logins. If you would rather we stay involved, that is the AI Operating Partner engagement.
